What is craniosacral therapy?

In the 1970s, while assisting during spinal surgery, the American osteopath Dr John Upledger first observed the movement of the craniosacral system (the meningeal membranes and cerebrospinal fluid). His curiosity led to decades of clinical trials and research resulting in craniosacral therapy — a gentle hands-on therapy that works closely with the body’s natural healing abilities to facilitate change through bone and soft-tissue release.
